JOIKUSPOT PRODUCT LICENSE PRIVACY POLICY AND LEGAL NOTE
Upon purchasing, downloading, installing and using the JoikuSpot Premium, Light or 2012 Edition License, you will be prompted to accept the following privacy policy and legal note as part of the software installation process to your phone as custom in the industry. The same privacy policy and legal note applies also for the free JoikuSpot Light Edition, and covers all versions of JoikuSpot across the supported OS platforms and phone models.
By accepting these terms and per having purchased a valid use License you are allowed to use the JoikuSpot Software. If you do not accept these terms you are not allowed to use the JoikuSpot Software.
Joikusoft is not liable for any misuse, mal-functionality, compatibility or use cost of or inability to use the JoikuSpot software.
This software uses your phone’s 3G/3.5G, EDGE or GPRS internet connection and shares it over WLAN to external WLAN devices. When you turn on the JoikuSpot software client in your Smartphone, you allow sharing of your phone’s internet connection to external WLAN devices. This means that the external devices may connect to the internet using your JoikuSpot as an access point and gateway to the web. All the incurring connectivity and data transfer cost is beared by the JoikuSpot software client owner (=you) that shares the connection. The total use cost depends on your mobile data plan with your operator and the wireless network(s) you are using/roaming. In JoikuSpot Premium, you can secure and set password authentication to your connection and control which external WiFi devices are allowed to access internet via your JoikuSpot internet connection. JoikuSpot Light is a free edition and only functions as an open HotSpot, which means that it is openly accessible by external WiFi devices, when turned on.
As the cost of all incurring mobile data traffic is beared by you, we highly recommend unlimited data plans with your wireless operator and using the Premium Edition for controlled access. To avoid unpleasant surprises with your operator’s mobile data bill, Joikusoft strongly recommends you to carefully familiarize yourself with all aspects regarding your mobile phones mobile data costs, both in domestic and international use contexts. If you are billed by transfer amounts per megabit or if you are using JoikuSpot while roaming abroad, the use of JoikuSpot may become very costly depending on your data plan and the operator whose mobile broadband network you are using. Joikusoft is not liable for any type of the cost incurring as a result of the usage of the JoikuSpot. Please also be aware that even if you have an unlimited data plan and when using JoikuSpot abroad, the foreign operators typically charge you for the use of their networks on top of your monthly plan with your operator.
Use of JoikuSpot requires free registration with JoikuSoft. JoikuSoft will not rent or sell your account registration information to the third parties. JoikuSpot requires the JoikuSpot application to post its client-id and some other user, device, network, connection speed, network quality, location and usage related data to a secure network server for service activation and authentication, license management, preventing of piracy copies and for service quality, usage measurement, and for prompting of additional services that may include marketing elements and reporting and usage analysis purposes. When you use JoikuSpot, you allow it to post any and all such client, user, location and service usage and quality information to the network based back end system defined by JoikuSpot. You further allow Joikusoft, at Joikusoft’s option, to anonymously publish any such collected usage and usage context, profile and quality data without revealing the user identity or any personal user information that can be used to identify an individual user. Such potentially published data may contain e.g. average JoikuSpot usage volumes in certain locations or networks, statistics of user profiles and locations of use, or network quality information across markets, and such publications may use web based mapping interfaces for visualization purposes.
Using JoikuSpot impacts the phone battery consumption, and with some phone models the increased battery consumption may heat the phone when JoikuSpot is used continually for longer periods of time. Joikusoft is not liable for any such impact of use of the JoikuSpot.
JoikuSoft shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages or costs to the user arising out of the use of or inability to use the JoikuSpot software.

MY JOIKUSPOT WEB SERVICE PRIVACY POLICY AND LEGAL NOTE
My JoikuSpot is a copyright of Joikusoft Ltd. Creating a User Account at My JoikuSpot (www.joikuspot.com) is free and optional. Some services under My JoikuSpot Web Service may be commercial by nature. Such commercial services are clearly and separately marked. My JoikuSpot Web Service is available for JoikuSpot 2012 Edition License holders. Services within My JoikuSpot may link the user to third party services such as Social Media services.
Using My JoikuSpot requires registry with Joikusoft Ltd. Your email address is required for account creation. If you wish to receive email updates from Joiku, you can separately mark "opt in for Joiku Updates" and subscribe for email based Joiku updates. Creating a My JoikuSpot Account doesnt automatically link you with email subscriptions unless you have opted in for email updates as part of the account creation or separately via Joiku.com email subscribe opt-in window at www.joiku.com or via JoikuSpot client.
Under My JoikuSpot you can link your JoikuSpot profile with several social media profiles you may have. This is optional, and by doing such linkage, you consent that you perform such voluntarily. You can also subscribe to JoikuNews feed in your JoikuSpot 2012 Edition client. This requires a Nokia account. Subscription is optional and free. By subscribing to JoikuNews you consent that you perform such voluntarily.
